Reference under the price

On a discounted product page, the lowest price of the previous 30 days appears under the price. You can reword the line for each language.

On product lists too

The reference also shows on the cards of category, search and discount lists. One switch turns this off.

Measured and estimated references

The running discounts list shows each product's reference. Discounts already running at installation get an estimate; the product's next discount is calculated from recorded prices.

Groups, currencies, countries

The visitor price is always recorded. When a customer group, currency or country pays a different price, you can add that combination.

Proof with dates

The product's edit page shows its history with a chart and the recorded prices. Download it as CSV whenever a price has to be proved.

Technical details

What you need

The reference shows without any setup after installation; the scheduled task has to be added on your hosting once.

  • PrestaShop: 1.7.4 to 9.1.
  • Schedule: Every 15 minutes on the hosting; without that, visitor pages start the runs.
  • New products: Under 15 days on sale, the line stays hidden by default, and this can be changed.
  • Retention: The price log is kept for 365 days by default, adjustable from 31 to 3650.
  • Exclusions: Categories and products can be left out.
  • Interface languages: English, Hungarian, Romanian.

Frequently asked questions

What buyers ask before they order

Does the module change my prices or discounts?
No. It records prices and displays the reference; product prices and discounts stay unchanged.
What happens to discounts already running at installation?
They get an estimated reference: the lower of the undiscounted price and the cheapest price actually paid in the period. The product's next discount is calculated from recorded prices.
What shows for products on sale for less than 15 days?
By default no reference line shows. You can choose to show it with the number of days on sale instead, for example the lowest price of the 12 days before the discount.
Does it handle different prices per customer group and currency?
Yes. The visitor price is always recorded, and other combinations of customer group, currency and country can be added.
What if my hosting cannot run scheduled tasks?
After the set time, visitor pages start a run in the background and the visitor does not wait for it. An external scheduling service can also call the module's address.
Is the data kept if I uninstall the module?
Yes. The price history stays, and the log continues after a reinstall.
