What it does

A free module that checks the security of your store on a schedule.

List of known vulnerabilities

The module scans with the list presta.hu keeps up to date from the Friends of Presta and the official PrestaShop security advisories. The list is signed, the module uses a verified list only, and it reads each module version from the module’s own file.

Score and grade

Every scan gives a score from 0 to 100 and a grade from A to F. The cards count the open findings by severity, the chart shows the score of the last twelve scans.

Steps to fix it

Each finding shows what is wrong, what it affects, when it was first seen and how to fix it; for a vulnerability, the CVE id too. After a fix, one button checks it again.

Scheduled scan and e-mail

The scan runs weekly or daily on its own, with a scheduled task of the hosting. After it, an e-mail lists the new findings of medium or higher severity, and a bar at the top of the back office stays while a critical or high finding is open.

Accept a deliberate choice

A finding that is a deliberate choice can be accepted with a note and an end date. It stays in the list but does not lower the score; if the affected item changes, it opens again.

Deep scan of the files

The deep scan compares the PrestaShop files with the official release, looks for PHP files in the image and upload folders, and for known malware patterns in the code.

What you need

Upload the module ZIP in the Module Manager as usual. The scheduled scan needs a scheduled task (cron) on the hosting that runs once an hour, and the list needs an internet connection. A scan can also be started by hand at any time.

Yes, the price is 0. The licence comes with an order placed on our site: you activate it in the module with the order reference and date.
Which PrestaShop versions does it support?
PrestaShop 1.7.4 to 9, PHP 7.1 to 8.5, with one or more shops.
Does it change anything in the store?
No. The module only reads: it changes no file, setting or account. It describes the steps to fix each finding, and you or your developer do the fix.
How does it know which module is vulnerable?
From the list presta.hu keeps up to date from the Friends of Presta and the official PrestaShop security advisories. The module checks the signature of the list and reads each installed module version from the module’s own file.
What does the scheduled scan need?
A scheduled task (cron) on the hosting that runs once an hour. The module gives the address, with a copy button. Without it, scans can be started by hand on the Overview page.
How is the deep scan different?
The quick scan checks the vulnerability list, the settings, the accounts and the public addresses of the store. The deep scan also compares the PrestaShop files with the official release and looks for PHP files and malware patterns, so it takes longer.
Do customers see the scan?
No. The module has no customer-facing part; the results are only in the back office.
What happens when I uninstall it?
The menu items are removed. The findings, the scans and the log stay in the database, so after a reinstall the earlier results are still there.
