What this module is for

Customers register and sign in with their Google or Facebook account, and in beta with their Apple account. They type no name, e-mail address or password: the network gives these, and the module asks only for what the webshop requires on top, such as accepting the terms and conditions. Returning customers sign in with one click. The buttons appear on the sign-in and registration pages, at checkout and in a sign-in window opened from the header; the cart stays, and the customer goes on with the order. Google One Tap offers the visitor's Google account at checkout by itself. New customers can get a personal discount code, and the module shows how many customers came from the networks and how much they ordered.

I bought a PrestaShop module from PrestaHU and I’m very satisfied. The module works perfectly, and the owner Levente quickly resolved all my questions with great support. Highly recommended!

Levente/presta.hu has been very helpful and quick to reply to any question or issue we may have had in order to install and configure the plugins.

We got 2 plugins from presta.hu and both are doing their tasks just fine.

The module with SimplePay worked and was a lower price than the recommended by OTP. And the service from Levente has been spotless. I recommend

What it does

Registration without a form, sign-in without a password.

Google, Facebook and Apple

Buttons on the sign-in and registration pages, at checkout, in the customer account and in a window opened from the header. Style, layout, order and labels can be set per language. Apple sign-in is in beta.

Google One Tap at checkout

Google offers the visitor's account in a small window: one click and the order goes on. By default it appears only at checkout; it can be turned on for the sign-in pages or every page too.

Asks only for what is missing

Name and e-mail address come from the network; the customer gives only what the webshop requires on top. A network joins an existing account only with a verified e-mail address, otherwise the customer confirms with the password or with a link sent by e-mail.

Welcome discount code

A new customer registering with a network gets a personal, single-use code on the screen and in the welcome e-mail: a percentage or a fixed amount, with validity and a minimum order.

See what it brings

New customers, sign-ins, failed attempts with their reasons, and the orders of new customers, per network and per place. The list of linked accounts can be filtered and downloaded.

Switch from another module

If another social login module ran before, the customers' links can be taken over, so they sign in with the same account without linking again.

Good to know

Do I need a developer?

No. The module is uploaded the usual way and opens under Customers › Social Login. A step-by-step guide leads through creating the Google and Facebook apps; the module checks whether the network accepted the details.

Compatibility: PrestaShop 1.7.4–9, with one or more webshops; HTTPS required.
Networks: Google and Facebook with a free developer account; Apple in beta, with a paid Apple Developer membership.
Languages: English, Hungarian and Romanian back office; button labels and e-mails in the customer's language.
Uninstall: The links are kept; after reinstalling they work again.
Support: 12 months of updates and support.
Why it pays off

What you gain

Fewer abandoned orders: At checkout registration is one click, the cart stays, the customer goes on.
No forgotten passwords: Returning customers sign in with their network account and ask for no new password.
Real e-mail addresses: Google or Facebook gives the address, without typos, so the e-mails arrive.
See what it brings: The statistics show how many new customers came from the networks and how much they ordered.

Frequently asked questions

What buyers ask before they order

What do the Google and Facebook apps cost?
Nothing. The Google and Facebook apps are created with a free developer account; the module guides you step by step and checks whether the network accepted the details.
What happens if the customer already has an account with the same e-mail address?
The network joins the existing account. If the network verifies the e-mail address, this happens by itself; otherwise the customer confirms with the account password or with a link sent by e-mail, so nobody else can enter their account.
What does it ask from the customer at the first sign-in?
Only what the webshop requires on top of the network's details, such as accepting the terms and conditions. If there is nothing, the account is created at once.
Where does Google One Tap appear?
By default only at checkout. It can be turned off, or turned on for the sign-in and registration pages, or for every page.
Does Apple sign-in work?
Yes, in beta. Apple sign-in needs a paid Apple Developer membership; Google and Facebook work fully without it.
Can customers be taken over from a previous social login module?
Yes, from the Social Login (ETS-Soft) and Social Login (Jorge Vargas) modules. Customers sign in with the same network account without linking again; the module only reads the previous module's data.
What does the webshop receive from the network?
Only the customer's name, e-mail address and network identifier. A link to the privacy notice appears under the buttons, and with the PrestaShop GDPR module the data can be exported and deleted.
What happens to the data if I uninstall the module?
Nothing is deleted: after reinstalling, the links work again. The data can be deleted only in the Privacy window, with a separate confirmation.
Which PrestaShop versions does it run on?
PrestaShop 1.7.4–9, with one or more webshops.
